Driven by passion
While doing videography at a piano technicians convention, Andrew was exposed to the world of piano technology and servicing. Through meeting many veteran and novice technicians at that convention he gained a network of people who would guide his journey.
Shortly after joining the Piano Technicians Guild for mentorship, he found many veteran technicians in the Seattle area. Gaining valuable hands on education in every facet of piano technology. From voicing, regulation, piano moving, to finally advancing to the stage of tuning by ear (aural tuning).
Beyond basic piano maintenance, Andrew sought to combine previous polymer finishing and cabinetry refacing experience into a skillset for piano cabinet repair and finish restoration. He trained in traditional and UV cutting edge polyester repair techniques. allowing for repairs that are less intrusive, faster, and better for the environment in your home.
Whether he is tuning a unison, revoicing hammers, or repairing a minor ding in a case, He strives to become a master technician in his guild.
